Don Ferm began United Industries in 1980 with the dream of beginning his own business. Using all of his and his wife’s savings they purchased 8 acres of land in the little town of Bentonville, Arkansas and built a 5,000 square foot building.

United Industries has gone through many changes in its 30 year history. First making styrofoam cups then sheet insulation for housing, insulated freezer panels, structural insulated panels for homes, cornice boards and finally foam centered panels for signs and displays.
